die hard-esque in its setup. the film itself is a bit cheesy though mostly entertaining enough. what strikes me, though, is the number of recent films about society under siege. is it a continued post-9/11 paranoia? is it the “liberal” hollywood media commenting on obama the kenyan usurper? red dawn the remake, olympus has fallen, g.i. joe, dark knight rises, etc.
