another in the “how the other half lives” series, this one recommended by netflix because of whores’ glory. decent enough documentary that follows some of the homeless of skid row for a while. the tragedy here is that we don’t care for our mentally ill in this country. some of these people are on the streets because they make bad decisions (olympic sprinter who got himself into drug use), but the majority are there because they have legitimate mental problems. unfortunately we tend to sweep them all under the rug and say they got there because of bad choices in life. sometimes true, mostly not.
