one of the worst films i’ve ever seen based on a book by one of the worst “philosophers” of all time. ayn rand can’t be taken seriously in any real academic way and yet she’s possibly the most famous philosopher today and probably the most influential in conservative u.s. politics. astonishing.

the second film in the series is basically a reboot. i didn’t recognize any of the same actors from the first film to the second. not sure what the story there is. i guess they all figured out that the first one was bad enough. just awful from top to bottom.
