if you like the original stooges stuff then you’ll probably like this. in a way it’s what the farrelly brothers have always been about. silly, slapstick comedy. it wasn’t great, but looking back on some of the stooges’ shorts – they weren’t always great either. to me it’s more about the stooges on the whole instead of a few classic moments or bits. so, remaking them in one movie doesn’t necessarily make that much sense. it’s an homage to them and scratches the surface of what made what they did great, but not much more than that.
