Six Feet Under Season 2
Year: 2002
Grade: B
Country: USA
Director: Ball
Reviewdefinitely better than season one. season two sees the characters all growing or regressing or changing. no matter what direction they are going, things are getting more interesting and complex. they are difficult characters and that’s probably the most rewarding aspect of the series so far. in a series like dexter, for example, it’s fairly easy to root for dexter even though he is a murderer. here, though, the characters, and their complexities, are more true to life. we see them, warts and all, and it makes liking them all the more difficult.
the plot, too, has picked up. the rival corporate funeral service company ratcheted up their bid to take over, nate’s health deteriorated further, david’s love life continues to ebb and flow, things with the mother’s work and love life get more interesting…all in all it’s a more solid season and i’m looking forward to season three more than i was to season two.
