my dad said it was a cross between carrie and the terminator. it also has shades of film noir and blade runner.

the makeup crew did a really good job on joseph gordon-levitt. it’s a bit on the long side. would have liked about 20 minutes worth of tightening and cutting. don’t think the logic of the time travel and the conclusion made much sense, but they kinda get around that by saying it’s complicated and leaving it at that. don’t get hung up on that. it’s ultimately about the circle of violence that humans seem incapable of escaping.
