trying to revisit some david lynch to give him another shake. never seen this film in its entirety until now. it’s weird and that’s really all i can say about it. what is he trying to say or accomplish? what is any surrealist film trying to do? if you have something to say, say it. i’m too straightforward a guy to enjoy these films so this kind of stuff is at a decided disadvantage from the get go. i guess it’s about isolation and relationships with some cronenberg body disfigurement stuff mixed in. it felt like a mix between cronenberg, rosemary’s baby and the begotten. that’s mostly a bad thing.
