Reviewglobal warming documentary that follows the extreme ice survey as they go throughout the northern hemisphere planting cameras to take time lapse photos of glaciers receding. as far as convincing people that global warming is real…this one probably isn’t going to convince the skeptics. it’s a nice idea to have visual evidence of what we know is happening, but the people who are still skeptical have reasons beyond what is addressed here for doubting the science. some actual arguments i’ve heard: the ice is receding in the north arctic, but expanding in the south arctic. the globe is warming, but it’s because of the sun – not because of us. the whole thing is a conspiracy by the people in charge to take control of us.
it’s definitely interesting to see what james balog is willing to go through for this cause. the multiple knee surgeries, the time away from his family, the failed equipment, etc. it’s cool to see the photography they are able to capture in these remote areas. it’s sad to see how much that part of the world is changing. B-.
