another 30 for 30 documentary, this one is on the 1988 olympics wherein ben johnson got a world record time in the 100m. carl lewis ended up with a second place finish, but after johnson tested positive lewis got the gold. it’s not a great installment in the great series of sports documentaries. part of that may be because it’s essentially very pessimistic – it seems as though everyone is under suspicion, at least, and guilty of doping at worst. pretty depressing that there’s nothing pure in the world.
