like mst3k, but instead of making witty comments the film is entirely re-worked for (presumably) a different story. of course the original is some unseen japanese film so it could be the exact same thing for all we know. it’s off the wall satire that allen did in his early years. these were generally mildly humorous, but not amazing. this one is one of his worst films. it has a couple laughs, but isn’t really entertaining. the novelty of it is good enough, but not enough to carry the film. only laughed a couple times.
