Reviewfeature length 30 for 30 on vlade divac and drazen petrovic and yugoslavia. they were teammates on the yugoslavian team and after winning gold, a spectator with a croatian flag came on the court. vlade took away the flag because he wanted people to respect the victory as one for yugoslavia, not as one for just croatia or just serbia or any other region in the former yugoslavia. petrovic, a croatian, took it the wrong way and they were no longer friends after that moment. the documentary gets into the fall of yugoslavia, divac’s and petrovic’s rise in the nba, and the broken relationship between the two. it’s one of those sad stories of human nature. we keep grudges too long sometimes and can’t reach across the aisle often enough, and there’s no shortage of such stories; sadly. one of the best of the 30 for 30 films.
