Reviewanother in a long line of modern romantic comedies in which the couple is either married or sexually involved before falling in love. as far as romantic comedies go this one is real solid. i don’t like ashton kutcher, but he does a good job here and i think he knows how to pick roles that are within his comfort zone. natalie portman is having a breakout year and this adds to her resume. it’s more accessible than black swan, but there’s still some good writing for her character and she shows what can be done with the genre. this one was also a bit more interesting than most because the gender roles were reversed. how they did that without tilda swinton i’ll never know.
