the best of the apatow productions thus far. realistic, funny and touching. a bit long, but a very solid film on all fronts. i like the scene where rogen chews out rudd for not warning him about heigl’s feelings. immediately after this rudd flips the switch and begins singing happy birthday for one of the kids. it’s about compartmentalization which is a necessary attribute for a good parent.
