the bulk of this one isn’t as good as the first, but it ends real well and brings the whole story of the corleone family, and michael in particular, full circle. nothing is more important to michael than his family, his male offspring in particular. michael is one of the most compelling characters in the history of cinema and pacino’s performance here is one of its best as well.
