one of the better disney films. the backgrounds have a pastoral, painterly feel to them and the foregrounds are much more lively, but still have a simple animation style. it’s a simple and great story of growing up as well as the circle of life and man vs. nature. it’s dramatized to a certain extent on that last point, but it humanizes the forest in a way that not many films do. they don’t make em like this anymore.
