the first in the up series which was later directed by michael apted. a really cool series that is equal parts social science and film. they follow about 20 (or less as the series progressed) british kids and check in with them every 7 years to see how they’re doing. i’ve only seen two of them now (this one and 42up), but hope to watch the rest of the series by year’s end (it’s at 49up now). in terms of content, it doesn’t get much better than this.
