not as bad as i thought it was going to be. nothing here that hasn’t been seen before and nothing that is especially noteworthy, good or bad. this is a payday for gyllenhaal and it’s really not his thing. he got buff for the role, but he’s still at his best when making wise cracks. the film has a fair amount of comic relief which is good. all the gutsy moves of killing key characters are undone by the film’s ending. sorry i ruined it for you.
