Reviewabsolutely horrible genre film that seems to glorify irrationality and unhealthy relationships. seriously, if you think that this is a positive male-female relationship then you might have serious problems. she hits him on a regular basis, he’s a stalker, she leaves a good man for some pipe dream, etc. actually, the two most interesting subjects were the woman he (gosling) was sleeping with to pass the time (the widow who lost her husband in the war [how much more fucked up do you get than to take advantage of her and then kick her to the curb once your high school sweetheart comes back into the picture?]) and the husband-to-be that mcadams kicks to the curb.
a derivative film with few redeeming qualities and poorly told to boot.
