good little movie about a wrongly accused everyman played by aldo ray who i haven’t seen much of, but liked here. he has a simple delivery and is matter-of-fact in his performance. part of me thinks he’s not acting at all and is just showing up, but it works somehow. bancroft is fine and also turns in a fine performance. ha ha.
