rodeo drama with steve mcqueen. the father/son and estranged family angles were nice to chew on. didn’t do much for me, though i wasn’t bored while watching it. while i was watching it i kept thinking how influential peckinpah was as a director because the film had the peckinpah feel to it. turns out that’s because he directed it. funny.
