Iron Man 2
Year: 2010
Grade: B
Country: USA
Director: Favreau
Reviewnot as consistently entertaining as the first one in part because it’s a bit more serious, but solid summer-fare nonetheless. the fight between downey and cheadle seemed more artificial and placed there fore commercial interests than anything else. the rest of the film felt fairly organic in its progression, but that scene seemed to be placed there just so they could work in another fight scene.
they didn’t give cheadle much in terms of writing. rourke had some good stuff and did well as the villain. of course downey owned his role again. paltrow’s role changed a bit so we see her character growing a bit, but i didn’t think she was as good a comic book hottie as she was last time. instead that role went more to scarlett johansson who was fine enough.
