similar to rebel without a cause, but it’s like a theater version of that superior film. this is directed by don siegel though it doesn’t have his usual punch. it’s actually a relatively uninteresting film in large part because of the theatrical feel of it. there are only a few sets and everything is overly-dramatized. sold as part of the film noir vol. 5 boxset from wb, but doesn’t fit in that genre if you ask me.
