not a bad film, but didn’t really do it for me. it’s a familiar setup – ranchers vs. settlers, old friends (robert preston and robert mitchum) meeting again (but one has gone straight) and a woman is in the middle of it all. it’s got some good stars and robert wise (three roberts?!) behind the camera. it’s a more melodramatic western than i usually go for.
