Reviewpoor excuse for a thriller. antarctica is always a good setting for a horror film, but this one doesn’t do much with the setting. it looks mostly fake and the acting and writing are so bad that it just never gets going. indeed, the first modern day shot is of the continent and it says: “Antarctica. The coldest, largest, most isolated land mass on the earth.” we know what antarctica is, where it is, and what it’s about. this doesn’t pass the “show, don’t tell” test at all. this film taught me that beckinsale apparently has a nice ass, but little to no acting talent. predictable.
