Reviewcameron crowe shows promise here as a writer, but not so much as a director. it’s a nicely structured melrose place type 20-something relationship film. it has some nice dialogue and a good seattle soundtrack. it’s reminiscent of mamet and not just because campbell scott (spanish prisoner) is in it. nice enough for a sometimes obnoxious genre which is generally just about a group of people in their 20s and early 30s bitching about being single or about the opposite sex. swingers does the genre about as well as anything i can think of so watch that first.
