the incessant commercials for this film had me wanting to skip it, but meryl put it on our “to see” list so we went. turned out to be a fairly funny film that was more like a frat comedy than the political period film that it appears to be in the trailer. the cast is all good and the soundtrack is nice. has lots of anachronisms, but no one really cares.
