over-rated dark teen comedy. there’s a certain juno-esque quality to it, or maybe vise-versa, but even though it tries to create its own teen world and present a darker version of high school life, i just didn’t feel it worked for me. winona ryder said that it was up there with catcher in the rye for her which is too bad for her.
