Reviewgood concept and nice execution, but shoddy on the details of the plot. a lot of it just doesn’t make sense from a logic perspective. why would you stick around the house, why would you let the hostages go and trust them to come back? doesn’t make any sense, but if you overlook these plot points then you can get plenty out of the performances and the dynamic between the criminal (bogart) and the father (march) and the son. arthur kennedy isn’t great, but he’s solid as usual. apparently the remake is complete shit.
