most would say that goodfellas is better than casino in part because it came first. this one has always resonated with me more, though. they both employ voiceover from several characters to give you a sense of what everyone is thinking; it’s not just one point of view. this one is more epic, has a better soundtrack, and tells an equally interesting story. this one is about an entire city (las vegas) and goodfellas is about a guy growing up around the mob. they’re both great films, but i like this one a little more.
