pleasant comedy almost romance of the 40s by lubitsch. i’m learning to like the guy. the camera in the film has a great mind and personality of its own; they don’t film em like this anymore. the plot was a bit shakespearean in that it uses what the characters don’t know to good effect. margaret sullavan is excellent.
