probably not the most feminist-friendly film. it’s about three women who rent an upscale suite out of their price range in order to capture rich husbands. grable and monroe play dumb blondes and bacall plays the brains of the bunch who is jaded because of her last (penniless) husband. in the end the money issue becomes moot and everyone is happy. in this way it’s a typical romantic comedy.
