Disturbia
Year: 2007
Grade: B-
Country: USA
Director: Caruso
Reviewa cross between rear window and the girl next door. the difference is that this isn’t hitchcock/stewart, but it’s also not emile hirsch and elisha cuthbert; and that’s a good thing. shia labeouf is actually an enjoyable young actor. he’s got a comic sense that is naturalistic and effortless, he also has a boy next door quality that translates well to the screen. he’s definitely an actor with potential, wish he got the roles that emile hirsch has been getting lately.
it’s basically your typical thriller/teenage fare. caruso’s direction is present, sometimes a little too so. the love interest next door is a hottie.
