Reviewone of hitchcock’s more overrated films in my opinion. the process shots are distracting and the film itself doesn’t seem to have a purpose like his others. it is compelling because of the obvious question: why? but beyond that core question the film doesn’t do much for me. the first 40 minutes is basically a lot of build up and some weird freudian stuff. that said, it’s still well-filmed and the central question and open ending make it good enough for a .
