Director: Fletcher
Reviewthe first 20 minutes or so are truly bad, in large part because the music undermines (rather than underscoring) any emotional truth that the film might have. the music and direction get better as the film wears on and the decent writing and strong performance from heigl are able to shine through as a result. it’s not a very good film, but it’s better than the genre normally churns out. a couple of different casting decisions and a different composer (or director?) might have made this a film as good as “in her shoes.” .
