Tarnished Angels
Year: 1958
Grade: C+
Country: USA
Director: Sirk
Reviewprobably the worst douglas sirk film i’ve seen so far, but i’ve only seen about a half dozen (tarnished angels, written on the wind, all that heaven allows, imitation of life, all i desire). some of his usual motifs arise here (characters appearing in reflections or in enclosed spaces) which generally strengthen his themes of isolation or repression. it also has the usual sordid characters living their fucked up lives. watch imitation of life first.
