Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic
Year: 2005
Grade: C
Country: USA
Director: Lynch
Reviewi like the girl and her comedy, but the film left something to be desired. the musical interludes were funny in a sense, but mostly a drag. they reminded me of kentucky fried movie – a film that’s funny in theory, but not in practice. silverman’s humor centers around anything that’s offensive – racial humor, aids, the holocaust, religion, sex, etc. i liked much of her material, i just wish it had been a documentary about her stand-up routine, rather than a “film” that interwove her material.
