refn’s follow-up to the great, though mostly unknown in america, film “the pusher.” this one has a similar sort of story arc, and picks up one of the characters from the first film, but doesn’t continue any storylines. this one stars the famous (in denmark anyway) and talented mads mikkelsen (casino royale, green butchers, wilbur wants to kill himself, etc.)  in another different role (he seems to really push himself into portraying different characters). if you enjoyed the first one then this one is worth checking out. if you have no idea what i’m talking about, but you’re willing to watch something different, rent the first pusher film and buckle up.
