Review

one of the most obviously shot-on-the-studio-lot films i’ve ever seen. it’s also one of the worst. it has two or three laughs and almost no redeeming qualities. from a technical standpoint the film is decent – they did a good job with the makeup and costumes, as well as incorporating the multiple murphy characters into single shots. other than that, it’s sometimes racist, often unfunny and constantly insensitive; and none of this is employed in the spirit of true humor, social commentary or provocation of thought. it’s got more senseless fat jokes than black people have afro picks. see? not funny.
