a harmless picture. not as good as the first installment. this one still has good comic relief, but i wasn’t thrilled by the heists and technology here. with a film like this there has to be a good deal of thought put into the details of the mythology as well as the gadgets and techniques used when breaking into highly secure areas. in one scene cage is supposed to break into the oval office to retrieve a clue from the president’s desk, but rather than writing an elaborate scheme for getting in and out, the film just has cage’s ex-girlfriend ask one of her friends for a tour. too simple and not enough fun.
