the first elvis film i’ve seen, and supposedly one of his best. elvis isn’t a great actor by any stretch, but the film actually has some heart and is written well enough to function as a cautionary tale of sorts, a star vehicle for elvis, and a poignant little story about fame and relationships. better than i thought it would be.
