apparently the real story is that the debate team played, and beat, usc, not harvard. not sure why they changed that fact. besides that i’m unsure how true this story is. with a film like this i guess you have you watch it as a film inspired by a true story, but not necessarily a depiction of reality. i thought most of the performances were solid, especially washington’s. overall the film was likable enough and inspired in portions, but not stunning in any way.
