never saw the original and this one didn’t make me want to. it’s not that the film is bad – it’s actually fairly entertaining – rather it’s more that the film comes off as a bit too family-friendly and preachy for my taste. steve carrell does his usual schtick and it entertains. one of his assistants is played by jonah hill who was in 40 year old virgin and accepted (among other films) and does a good job here again.
