An Inconvenient Truth
Year: 2006

Country: USA
Director: Guggeheim
Reviewactually better the second time around when i was able to separate the hype and possibility of his running for president again. guggenheim really does some hero worship in this documentary and sets the stage for gore if he ever decided to get back into politics, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anymore. the film is good at synthesizing a lot of the science in a less dry way than you might see on pbs. i love the pbs programming, but i can understand how gore’s humor and personal life could serve as good relief from the hard facts in the film. as i saw that as a detriment the first time, i think it may have been a positive this time around since it serves to balance the film a bit.
