about a media circus that revolves around a trapped miner (sound familiar?). kirk douglas does a very good job (as usual) and is one of the few actors i can think of off the top of my head who can be a good guy and a bad guy with equal skill. wilder directs and this one is good, but i’m not in the mood to write.
