visually an impressive film. other than that it was pretty much the standard epic fare. don’t get me wrong, i liked it, but it felt a little longer than it actually was and there really wasn’t a whole lot of meat to the story or characters. the film is really more about the bravado, action and look than anything else. watch seven samurai or lotr: the two towers instead.
