Reviewa bit of a disappointment. james wong howe does the cinematography, but, other than the first shot, there’s nothing all that eye-popping from him here. the main characters are rich lushes who happen to be good at solving crimes. it’s somewhat entertaining to see them do their work, but it’s not as funny as it’s intended to be and the dialogue isn’t as snappy as many other detective films.
