i know it’s sort of a small, mostly unknown film that has a bit of a reputation, but i didn’t find it all that impressive. i guess it’s notable for being nicholas ray’s (johnny guitar, rebel without a cause) first film. performances are good enough and i liked the one-eyed character, it was a nice touch. not very memorable overall.
