strangely enough this film actually had some potential. it’s directed by some chick who worked as a consultant on sex & the city, but hasn’t done much else. the film’s strong point is its visual style which is lively and fresh. the plot is relatively unexciting and turns completely didactic in the final act. if not for the last third, or so, of the film, this might have actually been an okay piece. the lead is played by someone i’ve never heard of, but she’s good in the role and might be the next keira knightley type.
