jim morris’ stats here. the film’s primary achievement is in its ability to humanize an otherwise overlooked role. the old, middle-aged reliever who comes in for one or two batters, or only in trash time, is often balked at. here, though, we see the position in a different, more human light. quaid does a decent job, but the direction is poor and it’s a typical disney production.
