On Her Majesty’s Secret Service

Director: Hunt
Reviewprobably the most unique and interesting of the bond films from the direction standpoint. hunt directs what, at times, looks like a b-film. some of the fight sequences, in particular, are done in this style. this is also the only film in the series that i can recall having broken the fourth wall. lazenby, after a fight on the beach, turns to the camera and says something like “the last guy didn’t have this much trouble.” the ending is also notable because of its abrupt and somber tone. it’s the most interesting of the series for these reasons, but i don’t know that it’s the best.
